Raised in Northeast Wisconsin, Nino began making films at an early age. At 19, he moved to Los Angeles, where he spent over two decades working across production and post on major network television and studio projects. He later joined the Directors Guild of America, working as an Assistant Director and gaining firsthand experience in high-level production environments.
Nino went on to work as a Field Producer on NBC’s The Voice for 18 seasons, contributing to one of the most successful television formats in the world.
As a filmmaker, he has directed and produced multiple award-winning projects. His debut feature film, Who Killed Cooper Dunn?, was released in 2022 and is currently streaming on Showtime and Amazon Prime. His second feature, Lonesome Soldier, received a theatrical release in 2023 and is also available on Amazon Prime. His screenwriting work has earned multiple industry recognitions, reflecting a strong foundation in story and character-driven filmmaking.
Prior to his feature work, Nino produced and directed several festival short films, including Tribes, which qualified for the Academy Awards and received multiple international awards.
Today, through Flixseed, Nino is building a scalable production model designed to support filmmakers, producers, and brands from development through delivery - combining creative vision with practical execution.
Flixseed is currently developing its next feature film, Black Bouquet, along with the television project Perennial Doormat, both set to shoot in Wisconsin - marking the next phase of its expansion into Midwest-based production.
